Jazz Evening: Culture and Cooperation – New Acropolis meets Jazz (Graz, Austria)

Artistic Activities

In January, the New Acropolis School of Philosophy in Graz became a lively meeting place where music, culture and philosophy brought together people of different generations.

In collaboration with the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, an open jazz jam session was organised, in which around 50 people actively participated or listened attentively. Once again, jazz proved itself to be what it is at its core: a universal language that connects people, regardless of age, origin or experience.

Improvisation, listening and collaborative creation were the focus of the evening. These elements made it clear how music facilitates dialogue – not only between musicians, but also between generations and ways of thinking.

The jam session was opened with a philosophical impulse that shed light on the relationship between art, creativity and communal expression. Experience:

The evening impressively demonstrated how important cultural initiatives are in promoting encounters, strengthening creativity and creating spaces for shared experiences. A living example of how culture builds bridges – between art and thought, between people and generations.
