“Philosophical Hands” project benefiting adolescents at SOS Children’s Villages (Dominican Republic)
With the aim of promoting self-care, personal motivation and social integration, New Acropolis Dominican Republic carried out the ‘Philosophical Hands’ campaign, benefiting almost fifty teenagers from the SOS Children’s Villages Foundation.
The day included talks, integration activities, personal care workshops and recreational activities that strengthened the participants’ self-esteem and enthusiasm. In addition, hygiene kits, creative materials and complementary donations were handed out, reinforcing the practice of self-care.
The event was made possible thanks to the dedication of 18 volunteers and the supportive assistance of companies, students, teachers, and anonymous donors. The impact was reflected in positive relationships, greater personal confidence, and a deep sense of belonging.
The SOS Children’s Villages Foundation highlighted the organisation and energy of the volunteers, who left a significant mark on this experience of community service and applied practical philosophy.
