Workshop: The various faces of Darkness (Tel Aviv, Israel)

Hermes center of human studies at New Acropolis held a workshop that was inspired by anthropologist and philosopher Gilbert Durand’s theory of the imaginary.

Durand’s theory of was applied to symbolls and images  of darkness and light, in nature and the human life.

Through reflection, analogical thinking and analysis of a significant event in their lives,  participants reflected upon the importance of movement and cycles – each phase with its unique contribution to our view of reality.

The participants acknowledged the gifts that darkness can bring.
