What we can learn from Mother Earth: efficiency, sustainability and resilience (Madrid, Spain)
Ancient civilisations considered the planet we inhabit as a living being, a deity to be respected and cared for. Today, far from that ‘primitive’ mentality, we have abused and exploited without consideration the resources that the Earth offers us. This talk, given by Fátima Gordillo, and held in commemoration of Earth Day, addressed the examples of efficiency, sustainability and resilience that Mother Earth tirelessly offers, as well as the discoveries that point to the fact that, indeed, our planet is a living being capable of self-regulation.
