Day of Solidarity and Hope at Hogar Renacer (Dominican Republic)

Social Volunteering

With joy, commitment and a vocation for service, a group of volunteers from New Acropolis Dominican Republic organised a wonderful day of social volunteering at Hogar Renacer. A large group of volunteers brought much more than material donations: they shared their time, affection and transformative activities with the nearly fifty beneficiaries, including the girls who live there and the home’s employees.

The work included the delivery of a significant donation consisting of:
• 1,939 pounds of dry, canned, bottled and processed food
• 53 units of cleaning products
• 70 personal hygiene items
• 43 educational stationery items
• 5 electrical appliances
• 495 items of clothing and footwear

However, the most valuable aspect was the human warmth and enthusiasm with which the volunteers developed a comprehensive programme of recreational and creative activities. Games, group dynamics, art workshops and spaces for free expression filled the day at the home with colour and smiles. The girls participated actively and enthusiastically welcomed each proposal, creating an atmosphere of joy, trust and shared hope.

This solidarity action was made possible thanks to the generous support of individuals and organisations that joined forces for a good cause, including:

Movimiento Matrimonio Feliz (Happy Marriage Movement)
• Grupo del Bondeyo (Bondeyo Group)
• Gnautic
• Pala Pizza
• Grupo Onda Juvenil Católica (Catholic Youth Wave Group)

The experience at Hogar Renacer is an example of the positive impact we can have when we organise ourselves with purpose, empathy and a willingness to serve. For New Acropolis, this type of initiative reflects our commitment to comprehensive education based on active philosophy, character development and the practice of solidarity as a way of life.

Thank you to everyone who made this unforgettable day possible! Because when volunteering is done with the heart, every action becomes a seed of hope.
