Cultural outing to the Churajón Archaeological Complex – An experience of reflection, nature and philosophy
Last weekend, the members of New Acropolis Arequipa had the pleasure of going on a cultural outing to the impressive Churajón Archaeological Complex, located on the slopes of our majestic volcanoes. This activity was part of our proposal to live philosophy in a practical way, through contact with history, nature and inner reflection.
During the tour, we explored the remains of this ancient pre-Inca civilisation, recognising a profound ancestral wisdom in its constructions and social organisation. Guided by a philosophical perspective, we shared valuable reflections on the meaning of transcendence, the relationship between human beings and nature, and the value of cultural heritage.
In addition to learning about history, the hike allowed us to contemplate a new perspective of our guardian volcanoes—El Misti, Chachani, and Pichu Pichu—whose silent presence invites us to remember the inner strength that each of us carries within.
This experience was more than a cultural visit: it was an adventure of the soul, a moment of deep connection with our environment and with ourselves, reaffirming our commitment to the pursuit of knowledge, harmony, and continuous improvement as human beings.
We thank all participants for their enthusiasm and philosophical spirit. We continue walking together on this path of discovery and growth.
