Exploring Kuntur Wasi: An encounter with our ancestral roots.

The ‘Herodotus’ History Circle of New Acropolis – Cajamarca, carried out an enriching visit to the ancient ceremonial centre of Kuntur Wasi, one of the most important pre-Columbian remains in the Cajamarca region. This activity was part of our commitment as a school of philosophy to the active exploration of knowledge, reflection and inner development.

Kuntur Wasi —which in Quechua means ‘House of the Condor’— opened its doors to us to show us the wisdom of a civilisation that knew how to connect the sacred, the natural and the human in the same space. During our tour, we not only contemplated the beauty of its architecture and cultural legacy, but also shared profound reflections on the meaning of the sacred in everyday life and the value of preserving our roots.

We thank all the participants for their enthusiasm, questions and contributions. We continue to explore together, with our feet on the ground and our eyes on the essential.
