‘Between Heaven and Earth’, guided tours by our volunteers (Nuremberg, Germany)

The philosophers of New Acropolis Nuremberg took part in an extensive programme of around 1,000 guided tours offered to the public by the municipal department of culture.
In the first part, we presented some mythological figures such as the Greek god Hermes, the goddess Fortuna and an allegory of the city, all close to the sky on the pediment or on the façade of a house.
We then arrived at the ‘Fountain of Virtues’, practically on the ground and within reach of human beings.
In a second presentation, many people gathered around the ‘Beautiful Fountain’ in the heart of the city. An instructor from New Acropolis explained the 40 figures that make up the fountain, placing special emphasis on well-known philosophers such as Socrates, Plato, Pythagoras and others.
In total, we attracted more than 100 people who were inspired by the mythological and philosophical treasures to be found in the city.
