“Zen Stories”: a gateway to consciousness through Eastern wisdom (Lima Headquarters, Peru)
In an atmosphere of reflection and learning, the conference ‘Zen Stories: Eastern Teachings to Awaken Consciousness’ was offered, an activity carried out in collaboration with the Peruvian-Japanese Association at the Elena Kohatsu Library and New Acropolis.
The talk was led by Professor Julio César Sarmiento, who guided attendees through a selection of short stories inspired by the Zen Buddhist tradition, highlighting how these ancient teachings can help cultivate mindfulness, inner wisdom and a more conscious life.
During the event, participants not only listened to the stories, but also shared their reflections, creating a space for dialogue and personal connection with the messages conveyed.
The activity concluded with a special thank you to all attendees for being part of this gathering, which left everyone with the desire to look beyond the obvious and delve deeper into the meaning of our daily actions.
