August in Sabadell (Spain)

Cultural Activities

August is not just synonymous with holidays. The New Acropolis School in Sabadell has been very active throughout this month with different types of activities: cultural outings, adventures, fraternity… We are a Renaissance school that seeks to enlighten each day with a wide variety of proposals, to revive that invincible spirit in our hearts.

One morning, we visited the National Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia in Terrassa. It was a very inspiring and active visit, both educational and participatory. In the afternoon, we visited a notable modernist house in the city, Casa Alegre y Sagrera, which has an impressive collection of Oriental art.

Another day, we visited a newly opened garden in our city, Sabadell. A treat for the senses: a space dedicated to plants and pets.

We also had a beach day to relieve the summer heat and foster camaraderie.

And of course! The weekly visit to our beloved school, so that it doesn’t miss us during this holiday month and so that we can have it ready for the post-holiday ‘re-entry’.

Another summer activity was a visit to Barcelona’s science museum, CosmoCaixa, where we saw various exhibitions and two very interesting documentaries, one about black holes and the other about the dark biosphere.

All of us who had been around the city were there and were able to take part in some of the planned activities.

We took away with us a little piece of summer heaven and many fond memories in very good company.
