In commemoration of World Arts Day, a festival was organised featuring different dances from around the country. The event took place in the newly reopened Cultural Plaza in the city of Santo Domingo.

This strategic city is located in the centre of the country and connects the mountainous and coastal regions, and this was the closing event.
