The Split branch of New Acropolis (Croatia) held a lecture at the Public Library Marko Marulić entitled “Jung – The Reality of Symbols”. The audience had the opportunity to learn about the importance of symbols on the path of human growth and self-discovery.
Jung considered the unconscious dimension of human life to be no less real than the conscious one and held that it gives rise to innate patterns of behavior, or archetypes, while symbols serve as mediators between these two realms.
