Workshop on The Sacred Geometry of Sound (London, UK)

Day of Arts

New Acropolis London celebrated the Day of Arts with a 3-hour workshop on The Sacred Geometry of Sound by musician and Director of New Acropolis in the United Kingdom, Sabine Leitner.

Participants were able to learn about the connection between numbers and sound, and the power of sound to organize matter into beautiful and harmonious shapes. Practical exercises on the monochord, music pieces and inspiring videos about the proportions of the intervals and the importance of numbers in nature, art, architecture, music, science and the human being were shared with the very appreciative audience.

The last part concluded with a dialogue about the practical applications of this knowledge, ranging from the law of resonance to the importance of learning to ‘tune’ our inner senses to the higher realms and the hidden effects of different types of music and sound on the body and psyche of the human being and our environment.
