New Acropolis Expands Its Firefighting Capacity (Chania, Crete)
Saturday, June 27th, was a particularly significant day for the Civil Protection Team of New Acropolis Chania, as we acquired our second firefighting vehicle. This is a major step forward that substantially enhances our operational readiness and our ability to contribute even more to the protection of our city and fellow citizens.
We would like to express our warmest thanks to Mr. Dimitris Spanoudakis of “Nissan Spanoudakis Chania”, who stood as a valuable sponsor and partner in our effort to acquire this vehicle. His support was decisive, and we sincerely thank him for his trust and contribution.
At the same time, we warmly thank the following for their presence at the event:
• The Vice-Regional Governor of Chania, Mr. Nikos Kalogeris,
• The Deputy Fire Chief of the Regional Fire Headquarters of Chania, Mr. Kostas Boboris,
• The Head of the Civil Protection Department, Mr. Giannis Verykokidis,
• As well as the retired Major General and former Regional Director of the Crete Fire Services, Mr. Ioannis Maragkakis.
The presence of everyone truly honored our team and gave even greater value to this important moment.
Finally, a big “thank you” goes out to all the members of our team. With dedication, volunteer effort, countless hours of work, and great passion, they contributed to making this vision a reality. The new firefighting vehicle is the result of collective effort and everyone’s love for volunteering and service.
We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for your support, trust, and contribution. We continue with the same passion and commitment, always at the service of our community.
