‘The Resurgence of the Renaissance’: New Acropolis celebrated World Philosophy Day (Mumbai, India)
New Acropolis Mumbai celebrated World Philosophy Day with an exhibition and lecture titled The Resurgence of the Renaissance. The evening was attended by a large public as well as Indian media including the Indian Express.
The Renaissance period marked a golden age of intense artistic, scientific and political developments. However, perhaps the most important characteristic was the growth of consciousness of people, the recognition of man’s ability to reach the highest archetypes and shape them in the material world.
The exhibition and lecture highlighted the spirit of Philosophy and the need to undertake a journey into our inner world, in order to discover who we really are. The event also shed light on the ways in which the Renaissance united European countries in a common cultural vision. The evening ended with a call to revive our own humanity to be the change we wish to see in the world.
