Members and interested friends of the New Acropolis went on an unusual walk “Symbols around us” in the center of Bratislava. They noticed various elements of architecture, sculptures and reliefs that surround us every day, but we are not always aware of what symbols they hide. And that was the reason for the walk, to reveal the imaginary veil and dive into the deeper meaning of individual symbols. Many sculptures are allegories of beautiful human virtues such as wisdom, purity of heart, or justice. Symbols are timeless and even in today’s modern times they have something to inspire us.
