Participation in the “Family and Values” Parade (Guatemala, Guatemala)
The New Acropolis Centre (zone 11) was invited to take part in the “Family and Values” parade organised by the Local Council of this area of Guatemala City. Each of the institutions invited to participate had to highlight a value in its presentation. Ours was: “Environmental Awareness”.
Prior to the parade, we decorated bicycles as endangered animals such as the jaguar, the polar bear and the elephant, to make the participants aware of the need to care for the environment as our home. We then used these bicycles in the parade itself. It was hard work, but a creative and joyful process.
