Very early in the morning, a group of volunteers of different ages participated in this volunteering day – which they had prepared the night before with all the materials they were going to need.

The parks in the city of Tegucigalpa have a very important role as spaces that bring together families, friends and colleagues to share recreational activities in a pleasant and healthy place, so it is crucial that they are tended with care.

This is what this group of volunteers did. In addition to picking up leaves, they made rounds to remove rubbish, plant some trees, water the ones that were already planted, etc.

“This kind of activity brings us together as a community,” said Armando Romero, the volunteer coordinator of the New Acropolis Florencia Sur branch. “It helps us connect with Nature,” he added.
