“Inner awakening”, Lecture (Leuven, Belgium)
The lecture “Inner awakening”, held in the Leuven branch of New Acropolis Belgium, confronted the audience with some of the most powerful obstacles for inner growth and well-being: distraction and lack of discipline. The ‘path of inner awakening’ – represented by a traditional Tibetan Buddhist drawing – served as center for this evening: It summarizes essential steps and pitfalls for those interested in escaping the dominance of these obstacles and seeking for consciousness. As beautifully drawn, ‘taming’ the ape which constantly is distracting the elefant (our consciousness) from our inner center, is key and essential in this world full of outer attractions.
