Julian Bernal presented the seminar “Myth Heroes: Symbols, Powers, Intelligence” at New Acropolis in Atlanta. This seminar explored modern-day fascination with mythic tales in movies as an archetype of man’s capacity to overcome difficulties by accessing the philosophical/heroic potential of the human being.

Volunteers from the New Acropolis centers in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina organized during February 2012 a humanitarian action collecting clothes, shoes and food for the people endangered by the natural disaster caused by heavy snow and low temperatures.

In the period from 11 – 24 February 2012, clothes, food, blankets and medicine were delivered to several families, as well as to the shelter for the homeless. A large number of citizens wanted to help their fellow citizens and joined the members of New Acropolis in this activity.

“Time management, learning to be explicit about the value we place on personal and professional life, allows us to focus our efforts accordingly” said the Prof. Ricardo Blasco in the Seminar on effective time management. Monitoring our time helps to balance the many pressures we are under, facilitates   the achievement of objectives, and avoids stress and fatigue, something we all want to achieve.

The International Association New Acropolis in Chile organized in the city of Iquique the 5th Annual Meeting of Indigenous People. Year after year NA promotes this approach, sponsored by the Regional Government of Tarapacá. It was attended by community representatives of Aymara, Mapuche and Atacameños Coya, and this year the theme developed was about religion and mythology in these communities.
Representatives from each community presented different aspects and approaches to sacred mentality of the Andean people. Amelia Ramirez, Ph.D. in astronomy, gave a lecture entitled: “Myths and Constellations of Ancient America.”

Day care and oral health education in Aldeas Infantiles SOS

NA volunteers carry health, support and much love to more than 100 children at a day care and oral health education center held in Aldeas Infantiles SOS slum Jesus of Nazareth II, San Martín de Porres – Lima.

The children received briefings on dental care and treatment by specialists NA volunteers. 46 families also received donations of clothing, toothpaste, toothbrushes and soap, among other hygiene products.

It is common today to wear jewellery as an accessory, rarely considering that all the minerals and precious stones contained in them have an effect on the people that wear them, as they all channel and utilize energies.  Some ancient cultures in particular used them for very specific purposes such as protection, strengthening particular qualities in their wearers, etc.
