New Acropolis Volunteers Helping Abused and Neglected Animals (Israel)
About 80 GEA volunteers and NA members worked together at a ranch in central Israel for abused and neglected animals.
The ranch, which is also a shelter and a non-profit organization, was founded many years ago by one caring person, today too elderly to do everything by himself. The ranch these days is in a poor condition and has many financial problems, which threaten to shut it down.
The volunteers helped at two different locations to revive the ranch by cleaning the stables and animals’ cages, cleaning and walking the dogs, feeding the animals, gardening, planting, fixing cages and pens and reopening the visitors’ center in order to welcome children with various motor and physical problems, who come for riding lessons at the ranch.
