The International Organization New Acropolis (IONA) held its annual assembly in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil, attended by representatives and delegations from more than fifty countries.
International management presented reports and reviews of actions carried out through 2011-2012, including the development of curricula of the School of Philosophy of IONA, the extensive program of activities to commemorate World Philosophy day, and environmental, volunteer, and humanitarian programs.
The Yearbook was presented containing the activity report for the year 2011 where, among other figures, 2,017 volunteer activities and about 20,000 participants in the Philosophy programs worldwide are listed.
The Assembly adopted its Annual Declaration, which reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting philosophy, culture and volunteering as an excellent way to contribute to the betterment of society.
