Educational workshop on snakes (Brazil)

Educational Activities

The Janos Programme – which is aimed at teenagers – of the Belem branch of NA, visited the city’s environmental police division to participate in an educational workshop on “herpetology”: snakes and their bites. The main objective of the workshop was to learn how to prevent and deal with attacks when preparing for the camping trips and ecological excursions that are regularly organized in the region.

In addition to snakes, the participants also had the opportunity to meet other animals such as eagles and owls that had been rescued by the police and would be released back into the wild once they had recovered.
