The New Acropolis centre in Porto Alegre presented an exhibition entitled “Ancient India, the Vedas and the Philosophical Tradition of India”. From March to May, this free public event concentrated mainly on the Vedas – the oldest sacred scriptures in the world, compiled over more than three thousand years and recording the key precepts of the Hindu philosophical tradition. The exhibition ended with an artistic-cultural evening on an Indian theme with traditional dances, musical instruments and a theatre sketch on one of its principal epics: the Bhagavad Gita.
