New Acropolis in Namur held a lecture on the Stoics, a philosophical movement that had its origins in Greece. Following in the steps of  Socrates, the Stoics developed an ethical philosophy based on the practice of virtues and the ideas of Truth, Justice, Beauty and Goodness. The audience were able to appreciate the value of Stoic philosophy as a way of developing the inner strength to deal with many of the difficulties of daily life.
