A group of 37 volunteers from New Acropolis in Santos, Brazil, provided different repair and technical assistance services to elderly residents at the Amparo Abuela Walquiria Home in São Vicente (city of Santos). The work teams divided into different areas, including painting walls; repairing iron bedframes;  and beauty services (brushing, manicure and pedicure). Occupational therapy services were also provided – such as drawing and stimulation of movement using plasticine. Music and reading contributed even further to the good atmosphere that developed amongst everyone involved.
