Spain joined this tribute with two activities that had women as protagonists…

In Madrid was held an interesting event entitled “Encounter between cultures: Women’s solidarity”, attended by women from different countries: Hungary, Russia, Romania, Congo, Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru and Spain.

Each of the representatives presented the feminine idiosyncrasies of her country from ancient times to the present day, highlighting feminine universal values, their expression in the role of the woman, and the spirit of solidarity was identified as one of the most outstanding qualities. Typical dishes from each country were also enjoyed.

In Barcelona, the public enjoyed precious moments hearing poetic compositions of authors from different times and places. The recital “Maverick poetry”, in commemoration of International Women’s Day and coinciding with World Poetry Day, covered a wide variety of topics related to various facets of the woman.
