More than 500 volunteers reforested El Salvador
The International Organization New Acropolis and the Coatepeque Foundation carried out a tenth reforestation project, in lake Coatepeque, thanks to the support of companies like Compañía Azucarera, Agua Cristal y Desarrollo Estratégico.
The planting took place in the Las Lajas of Coatepeque canton. More than 500 volunteers from different institutions and universities came to this encounter, achieving the goal of planting over 1000 trees. Neither the sun nor the road were obstacle for families, children and many young people wanting to make El Salvador a greener place.
Also participating were volunteers from New Acropolis Boston, who shared, planted and learned of the Salvadoran culture.
In addition to this activity, a seminar was previously carried out for all the young leaders of reforestation efforts, with the presence of Alfredo Maul, a Guatemalan who is leading a sustainability endeavor throughout Central America to initiate a change in our lifestyle, to make it more friendly to the environment.
