Volunteers of the music group of New Acropolis Hungary’s Győr Center performed a music show entitled Eternal Moments, featuring Hungarian poems set to music, at the Blind Dinner organized by the Lions Club on the occasion of International White Cane Day. Participants at the event wore blindfolds during the entire evening, experiencing how our focus of attention and orientation change when we cannot see, and noticing what becomes more important or less important when we are deprived of the faculty of sight. They were aided in navigating the evening by blind instructors at each table. The proceeds of the event were donated to the Federation of the Blind and Partially Sighted, to support blind children and therapeutic projects.
