Volunteers help bird population increase (Budapest, Hungary)
Nature conservationists and volunteers of New Acropolis in Budapest inspected the condition of bird boxes in the Duna-Ipoly National Park. To the original set of bird boxes planted a few years ago they added another 10 boxes, which they prepared themselves. During the annual bird watching session they found two nationally protected species among the birds nestling in the boxes. The nature protection group saw 46 eggs and 38 nestling birds of several species in the nests.
