Collaboration with Civil Protection in bad weather emergencies (Rome, Italy)

Volunteering

Because of “Burian”, the Siberian wind that arrived in Italy and left snow at low altitudes, cities like Rome were exceptionally affected. Trained volunteers of New Acropolis Rome were activated – already in the pre-warning phases – by the Department of Civil Protection of the capital, and carried out their 24-hr/day work.
On one of the nights, due to the significant drop in temperature, a team was dedicated to the distribution of hot drinks and bags of hot water to the homeless people living in the streets.
