Members of New Acropolis Chicago visited the Oriental Institute at the University of Chicago as part of their studies of ancient cultures, their mythology and symbolism. We encountered the magnificence of Mesopotamian and Egyptian art, among others.

The Oriental Institute was founded in 1919 by the famous Egyptologist James Henry Breasted in order to promote the interdisciplinary studies of ancient civilizations, and especially the Near East.
