Young people in the city: History and ecology to cultivate beauty (L’Aquila, Italy)
On Earth Day, students and volunteers from New Acropolis, with the patronage of the Town Hall, cleaned the green area of the Via Strinella – an abandoned area for years – and the park of the city’s main castle.
The students simultaneously participated in an educational project in collaboration with the schools, and they carried out a “treasure hunt” between games and the different monuments of the city, to get to know the historical center – with ongoing reconstruction 9 years after the earthquake – and become better acquainted with the history of L’Aquila.
