On a rainy summer Saturday, volunteers and friends of New Acropolis in Chicago joined together for a day of creative Do It Yourself (DIY) workshops and “upcycling”.

In the workshops the participants created pots for plants from recyclable plastic bottles, and sown seeds of herbs and vegetables. They also learned how to create their own notebooks and invited members of the community to support the school by buying at our second-hand sale.
