Lectures and artistic reflections to celebrate World Philosophy Day (Syracuse, Italy)

World Philosophy Day

On the occasion of World Philosophy Day, New Acropolis Syracuse organized two activities: an activity on the topic of friendship at the Tommaso Gargallo Classical, Linguistic, Musical Lyceum, by students and New Acropolis volunteers, who shared work done during the previous months: videos, musical pieces, short films, poems and reflections. Later in the day, the philosopher Francesca Rigotti, professor at the Swiss University of Lugano and author of many books translated into 13 languages, gave a lecture on “De Amicitia”. A large audience attended both activities, and participants had the opportunity to reflect on the need to cultivate real and ‘philosophical’ friendships.
