Talk: “The Mystery of Bhutan” (Be’er Sheva, Israel)

Fascinating talk about the small and mysterious country of Bhutan, at the New Acropolis Be’er Sheva Center, by Idan Charny, the director of New Acropolis Tel Aviv. Following his trip through Bhutan, making contact with people, their culture, and unique lifestyle, he shared interesting insights about their way of life, especially with regard to happiness both individually and collectively.

Apart from the country’s uniqueness, the presenter highlighted its vision of happiness led by its king who created the Gross National Happiness Index (GNH), with the aim of turning it into the country’s main goal. Participants were invited to reflect upon and seek a deeper understanding of the principles of happiness and the lessons that this culture can teach us for our own lives.
