Tribute to courage and intelligence! (Montreal, Canada)
Women, Philosophers, Rebels and Spirituals
As part of the “International Women’s Day” celebrated in several countries, New Acropolis Montréal organized a philosophical meeting on Friday, March 8, 2019 to present the life and exceptional journey of two philosopher women, rebels and spirituals: Helena Petrovna Blavatsky and Hypatia of Alexandria.
Participants attended to this inspiring meeting and were able to learn more about the fate of these two extraordinary women. What could be better about this “International Women’s Day” than to remember the life and destiny of women who have ventured on the paths of science and philosophy defying the codes and opposing the dogmas of their times to share a holistic and philosophical view of the human being?
The speaker and philosopher: Liliana Homrich, was able to share with her audience the courage and strength of these great women who, despite all the obstacles encountered, such as slander and misunderstanding of their contemporaries, remained faithful to their convictions and have transformed their society.
On this “International Women’s Day”, this conference allowed us to remember that at all times women decided not to be satisfied with the state of the world and wanted to change for the best; the societies that saw them born. These courageous women wanted to invite others to get rid of their prejudices and their opinions in order to live more freely. Gladly, History is also dotted with several other female figures such as Hypatia and Helena Petrovna Blavatsky.
