New Acropolis together with the city council of Hradec Králové  and Czech Union for Nature Conservation (ČSOP) organised 15^th clean-up of the area around the pond Biřička. Just like the last year the volunteers from New Acropolis were joined by volunteers from organisation Trash Hero Hradec Králové. Despite the rain the volunteers of all ages managed to collect more than 190 kg of trash. This included some very bizarre finds like one complete and unbroken toilet, brand new skateboard, 90 beer cans, 27 kg of plastic, 17 kg of glass and 6 kg of other metals. Volunteers didn’t forget to recycle their finds and after 3 hours of work they could fill the proper trash containers which were then emptied by the city workers.
