New Acropolis collaborates in the protection of baby flamingos (Syracuse, Italy)
In the middle of summer, about a hundred people, including many volunteers from New Acropolis, gathered in the Priolo Saline Nature Reserve for an interesting scientific activity carried out by the Italian League for the Protection of Birds. Volunteers checked the health status of the baby flamingos born to the 481 pairs of flamingos that chose the Reserve as their home, and placed identification rings on their legs in order to monitor their movements around the world, and to help experts get to know this splendid species better and better. This activity allowed the volunteers to experience a beautiful moment of integration with nature.
