The Municipal Department of Environment (SEMEA) invites New Acropolis to participate in a seed planting (Varginha/MG, Brazil).
The New Acropolis branch in Varginha/MG has been carrying out plantings of grass and various seedlings in São Charbel Square since 2019, in addition to providing maintenance in terms of cleaning and organizing the square, always with the support and guidance of the Municipal Department of the Environment (SEMEA).
At the end of March 2021, at the invitation of SEMEA, New Acropolis participated in the planting of fruit trees – black cherry and acerola – in the centre of São Charbel Square, with the presence of Mayor Verdi and Councillor Rodrigo Naves.
New Acropolis International focuses on Philosophy, Culture and Volunteering – through activities that have been developing for 63 years, supporting and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations. This activity fulfils SDG Goal 15 – Life on Land – which aims to protect, restore and promote the sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems. It is also a form of expression for students of philosophy and volunteers, who know that any small gesture of goodwill can make the world a better place, and even benefit themselves, as we are part of the world.
