New Acropolis volunteers organized an excursion to the Chicabal volcano and lagoon. This lagoon – considered sacred – is surrounded by altars for each of the nawuales (in the Mayan cosmovision, protective spirits). Participants spent quality time together, practiced yoga, and learned through mythology the sacred symbolism of the lagoon.
