New Acropolis participates in FHE Poupex event (Brasília, Brazil)

New Acropolis participated in the Internal Week of Labor Prevention – SIPAT of the FHE Poupex, an institution linked to the Brazilian Army.

Professor Lúcia Helena Galvão opened the event with the conference “Time Management and Quality of Life at Work”, and Prof. Pedro Paiva spoke on “The relationship between virtues and Mental Health”. Eloisa Limeira, another professor at the New Acropolis, was in charge of a commented audition, “Beethoven’s 6th Symphony (Pastoral)”.

OINAB-Norte participated with a literary café along with an exhibition of books on philosophical topics and replicas of paintings by classical painters. The presentations on the classics of Philosophy dealt with the following characters and works: “The Prophet” by Khalil Gibran, by Profa. White Poncini; the “Meditations” of Marco Aurelio by Prof. Marco Aurelio; “The brevity of life” by Seneca” with comments by Prof. Roberto Agostino; “The Republic” by Plato, presented by Prof. Yuri Galli and “The art of living” by Epítetus commented by Prof. Moreno.

“We appreciate the opportunity to spread part of our work in that week and place, as well as what we could perhaps call seeds of wisdom for today’s man, inserted in such a fast-paced daily life that he hardly has time for his reflections”, commented Andréa Ilha , New Acropolis volunteer.
