Online talk: Rome, greatness and fall of an Empire (Argentina)
The Belgrano Center of New Acropolis, offered the online talk Rome: Greatness and fall of an Empire, presented by Prof. Matías Taiah
At the beginning of our era, one out of every three inhabitants of the world was born and died in Rome.
What were the causes of its greatness? What led a small town on the Italian peninsula, like so many others, to become the world’s greatest power in little more than 500 years? What led to the decline of such a highly developed empire?
Its territories extended over three continents, Europe, Asia and Africa. This incredible Empire not only stood out for its military might, but also for its laws and order, its roads, its aqueducts and its impressive infrastructure that we can still see today.
