We all recognize freedom as an essential value. However, what freedom is and how it can be achieved has always been, and continues to be, a matter of debate. Many conceptions of freedom appear throughout history.
In this lecture, we explored those different conceptions of freedom and where they came from.
We also discussed how freedom can be a practice rather than an idea, and how it can be useful in building the individual and communal life we want and in helping us face the challenges of our time.
