New Acropolis participates in the Brazilian Congress of Ombudsmen (Fortaleza-CE, Brazil)
Professor Levy Bayde, gave a lecture on the theme “Are we truly empathetic?” during the 25th Brazilian Congress of Ombudsmen, in Fortaleza, in the Auditorium “João Frederico Ferreira Gomes” of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Ceará.
The professor of New Acropolis, recalled that empathy is formed by the virtues of tolerance, respect and attention, which allow to establish more human connections and can be key to solve most of the problems that exist in today’s society, precisely because of the wide scope of possible applications. “To be more empathic it is necessary to purify the senses, to be open to receive, integrate and connect with the other, heart to heart,” he explained. “It is not about being a more empathic listener, but an empathic Human Being because the world needs it.”
The event brought together more than 300 ombudsmen from 22 states and the Federal District. Promoted by the Brazilian Association of Ombudsmen (ABO), it aimed to qualify the role of ombudsmen to act with independence and efficiency.
