Philosophy and Culture Bring Together Students from New Acropolis in Boa Vista, Porto Velho and Manaus (Brazil)
A weekend of walks, guided tours, culture and a lot of philosophy brought together students from three cities where New Acropolis is present: Porto Velho, Boa Vista and Manaus, the capital of Amazonas state.
In addition to the opportunity to experience philosophy and fraternity in practice, the programme included a course on philosophy with the theme “Spiritual Life”, led by the director of New Acropolis Brazil North, Luís Carlos Marques.
“Spirituality is a way of life, a way of participating in life based on our humanity. And as spirituality expands, we relate better to everything and everyone, showing the power of goodness, the unity that exists in every human being,” explained Luís Carlos Marques.
The 4-hour course provided teachings and reflections on how to face life with a positive attitude, by finding our centre and relating to the centre that is present in every human being and everything that exists. The event was attended by more than 120 people.
The experience of being together with other people in the search for wisdom generated moments of friendship and shared experiences of feeling part of Nature.
The weekend event included a cultural tour of several well-known locations in the city, such as the Teatro Amazonas, Palácio da Justicia and Bosque da Ciencia, as well as the unique experience of watching the sunset at Ponta Negra beach.
