Workshop: Tristan and Isolde – The Myth of Romantic Love and its Spiritual Dimension (London, UK)

Promotion of Philosophy

This one-day workshop explored the profound symbols of the myth of Tristan and Isolde and the possible reasons for its sudden appearance in the 12th century. It linked courtly love to an originally spiritual discipline related to the Cathars and invited participants to reflect on the difference between ‘being in love’ and ’to love’.

The event included a much appreciated home-cooked meal where all the participants could come together for more informal conversations and a sense of comradeship on the journey of life.
