Climbing the Acatenango volcano (Guatemala, Guatemala)
We conquered the summit of the Acatenango volcano!
We were fifty volunteers from New Acropolis Guatemala and El Salvador.
The conviviality shared during the journey, the contact with nature and the cultivation of tenacity were the objectives achieved in this philosophical adventure.
We climbed at the beginning of December, in the “assault” mode, starting the ascent at 10 pm and reaching the summit at 5:30 am. We had the support of community guides, who accompanied and supported us throughout the adventure.
“The mountain is internal and is overcome more by internal strength than physical”, wrote one of the volunteers.
