Towards Unity through Diversity: Marimba concert and dance (Budapest, Hungary)
As the closing event of the Arts Day programme series, a marimba concert coupled with round dances from different traditions was organized at the Centre of New Acropolis in Budapest.
At the beginning of the concert, the renown musician, Balázs Juhász, gave the audience a detailed introduction to his instrument. In addition to classical pieces proceeding from different parts of the world, he also performed modern works and even involved the audience who could sound the instruments that imitated nature sounds, such as a rainstick or an ocean drum.
The musical journey did not end with the concert, and the enterprising members of the audience tried themselves in various Hungarian, Irish and Yiddish dances.
