Week of Art 2024: creating with differences (Brazil)
The Week of Art 2024 featured the theme “Art: creating with differences” as its main lecture across Brazil. This lecture is part of the reflection that has been built throughout the year around “Unity through diversity”.
The title of the keynote lecture seen around Brazil evokes the capacity for creation of Nature and of the human being. It reminds us that for Harmony to exist, there must be diversity. Based on ideals of Kindness, Beauty, and Justice, the human being is capable of transforming their own life into a work of art.
Diverse and inspiring program
Opening the celebrations of the Week of Art 2024, Lúcia Helena Galvão was in Boa Vista, Roraima, with the lecture “How to overcome your internal limits”. For the first time in the city, the professor enchanted over 500 participants at the Cathedral College auditorium. She presented deep and practical reflections on the book “The War of Art”, by Steven Pressfield. In the book, the author mainly addresses the resistance that artists encounter to express their creativity, but the analogy applies to other aspects of our lives. The evening also featured a classical ballet performance, adding Beauty to the moment.
